Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Install and evaluate new equipment and/or CIP hardware to enable the early adoption of technologies for current and next-generation 3D NAND nodes.
  • Partner with Fab layout, facilities, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely installation and operation of equipment.
  • Work with the process development team to quantify the benefits of equipment and hardware and optimize existing tools to meet productivity requirements.
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams on technology choices and translate future technology needs into actionable equipment requirements.
  • Identify disruptive equipment early and propose viable evaluation paths.
  • Design and implement advanced equipment monitoring and control methodologies.
  • Lead teams, suppliers, or cross-site projects to achieve equipment maturity, cost-effectiveness, and productivity enhancements.
  • Serve as a technical advisor, provide recommendations to senior management, and lead innovation initiatives through patents or technical papers.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards; strictly adhere to safety procedures, including lockout, chemical safety, and ergonomics.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • PhD or a at least of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in equipment engineering.
  • Strong understanding of equipment operations, troubleshooting, and tool installation processes.
  • Experience with R&D equipment transfer and hardware optimization is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with global teams.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with flexibility for extended hours when needed.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Commitment to safe and compliant behavior.
