This Material Planner will be reporting into the Supply Chain Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient procurement, availability, and flow of materials required for production while minimizing costs and inventory levels.

Job Description

  • Manage and optimise inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Develop and implement demand forecast models.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts as required.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve supply chain objectives.
  • Monitor and report on key supply chain metrics.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and company standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Possess knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as ERP systems.
