We are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join the Technical Design team, this role involves leading the design of temporary steel structures, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring project safety, quality, and timely delivery.

My client is a globally recognized specialist in major civil engineering works, known for its expertise in post-tensioning systems, bridge construction, and complex structural solutions.

Job Description



  • Develop and review structural designs for temporary steel structures, including launching gantries, lifting frames, and various steelwork elements.


  • Support the development of junior engineers through guidance and technical mentorship.


  • Lead assigned projects, ensuring they comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and delivery schedules.


  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients to understand and meet their expectations.


  • Design of temporary works.


  • Repair and strengthening of existing structures.



The Successful Applicant



  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering


  • 8 years or more of experience in structural design, with a focus on either permanent or temporary works.


  • Extensive experience in the design of steel structures.
